Overnight volunteers will camp near Hanks Lake. Pack warm layers, a sleeping bag, and a tent. The trail has moderate difficulty with some elevation gain. Wear sturdy hiking boots and pack appropriately for the weather.
Watch out for pack animals on the trail. By yielding the trail to pack animals and avoiding sudden movements that may startle them, you help prevent serious injuries to riders and yourself.
